Getting Your Short Story Published

I've been writing short stories for a little over a year now, and have had many of them published. I asked my followers on my Instagram if they'd like to know how to get published as well. I got an overwhelming response.

While I can never tell you an exact equation or formula of a surefire way to getting a short story published, simply because none exist, I can share with you everything I learned from my own personal experience.

In the next couple of weeks, I will write a series of blog posts breaking down the process. I'll share with you why you should consider short story writing, how to find magazines to submit to, the submitting process, and the do's and don'ts of the whole thing.

I am not an expert by any means. However, I have had stories published online, in print magazines, and in anthologies. I've been paid for pieces and have published for free. I've also faced so many rejections, it's a wonder I go on at all. All of these experiences I want to share with you.

As writers, we all need help getting started. I researched and learned a whole lot through trial and error. If anything else, I hope to help and inspire you along your journey.

And if you're too scared to start that journey, let me encourage you to take that first step. There's no better day than today to make your writing dreams come true.
